In-Home Entertainment Centers |
In-Home Entertainment Centers Inc., CPD Division, was founded in 1981. It produced lines of contemporary tables for the retail home furnishings market in Southern California. Along the way, improvement of plant equipment and expansion of the physical plant continued throughout the 1980's
In 1988, the Company entered the business of commercial and architectural woodworking, catering to such clients as retail clothing chains, banks, and hospitals. The company moved to a larger manufacturing plant in 1992, incorporating the latest in both woodworking machinery, and modern finishing facilities for the production of high-quality wood-finished products, which were demanded by our clients. Because of their commercial use, these products must be of the highest quality and durability, compared to residential products.
During these years the Company gained experience in all phases of laminate casegoods, veneered, solid wood fixtures, and high-quality wood finishing of these products.
Due to the recession that hit most of the country, and particularly California in the early 1990's, the Company made the decision to produce its own products, rather than be a bidder in the Commercial work area attributable to the sporadic ups and downs of work during that period.
After closely examining the home furnishings market, the management of the Company decided that the area of home electronics furniture showed the greatest promise of growth. This was due to the fact that very little furniture was being built at the time to accommodate "Big Screen" Televisions. Most electronic manufacturers were eliminating wood cabinetry in their design. Many existing manufacturers of home furnishings were not in a position to build cabinets to fit the many varied sizes of "Big Screen" televisions, and were content to build standard cabinets to fit the 32" to 35" tube televisions. The few that did had a very limited selection of styles and finishes.
The Company felt it had something better to bring to the market, because of our many years of experience building custom commercial casework. As a result of the high-quality demands of its commercial clients, the Company offers "high quality construction", along with "excellent fit and finish" in its new products.
From the inception of the home electronics furniture line in 1993, to the present, In-Home Entertainment/CPD Division is considered by many retailers to produce the finest products of their type in the industry, along with a reputation of supplying the best wood finish in the industry today
The Company produces products only for the electronics industry, and is constantly developing new items, to keep up with the constantly improving products, such as high-definition television and plasma displays.
We pride ourselves in making a sophisticated line of products, that allow our customer the ability to have factory-built casegoods, that will fit any TV available in the market today, or in the future. We also give service to the customer, with quick response to technical questions, a completed order, and is shipped by leading blanket-wrap carriers (see delivery) We also offer "white glove" residential delivery direct to the customer, anywhere in the Continental United States.
